About the author

After his university studies in electronics, Jörg Eisenträger worked for many years as a test engineer, laboratory manager and QM representative in the field of electromagnetic compatibility. From 2001 - 2018 he worked for a medium-sized company in Germany and was responsible for the standards department and for the implementation of a modern configuration management and the automation of development-related business processes by administration and configuration of a PDM system including its interfaces to SAP and other systems. After his retirement he occasionally worked as a freelance PLM consultant. In 2008 he acquired the certificate as CM2 Professional from the Institute for Process Excellence IpX in Denver, CO/USA.
